The Veterinary Public Health and Food Safety Centre for Asia Pacific (VPHCAP), Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Chiang Mai University, in collaboration with the Southeast Asia One Health University Network (SEAOHUN) and the WOAH Collaborating Centre, the National School of Veterinary Services, France Vétérinaire International (ENSV-FVI), France, organized a workshop on “Study Visit in Thailand for Health Professionals from Lao PDR: Empowering a Collaborative AMR Response through Communities of Practice.”

The workshop was held at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Chiang Mai University, from 3 to 7 March 2025, with the objective of strengthening the capacity of public health professionals to address antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in both Thailand and the Lao People's Democratic Republic. The program aimed to foster experience sharing and build collaborative networks to enable more effective and sustainable responses to AMR challenges.
