Knowledge and Skills for Addressing Emerging Infectious Disease at Convergence of Animal, Human and Environmental Health
5-24 February 2017
09:00 am
Global Health Institute – Thailand 2017 represents an international collaboration between two World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) Collaborating Centres for Veterinary Services Capacity Building: the Center for Animal Health and Food Safety (CAHFS), University of Minnesota, and the Veterinary Public Health Centre for Asia Pacific (VPHCAP), Chiang Mai University, also an Excellence Centre for Veterinary Public Health at Chiang Mai University. The GHI provides an opportunity for participants from university, government and industry sectors to meet together with faculties from the University of Minnesota and academic institutions in Thailand to examine the impact of globalization on health and identify strategies that support a healthy and productive global workforce.
The 5th GHI offers intensive study combined with a 2-day research conference in support of the goal of One Health Leadership in emerging diseases at the convergence of animal, human and environmental health. The GHI program offers 6 course options for participants in order to fulfill and complement the One Health Leadership experiences. The GHI 2017 - Thailand offers a great opportunity for all participants to share knowledge and strengthen professional networks.
