- Thailand 2018
The Global Health Institute (GHI) – Thailand has been conducted continually by Veterinary Public Health Centre for Asia Pacific at Chiang Mai University in collaborate with our various partners for 6 years since 2012 with integrative OneHealth concerning. The program strengthened relevant technical skills and identify opportunities for fostering collective action for the benefit of public health, food security and ecosystem health. By the interdisciplinary health education, the GHI benefited number of participants from all over Asia and global to explore the leadership context as a part of the solution to help protect and save numbers of lives in our present and future generations.
In this year, the GHIT-2018 is held on 2-13 July 2018 with the special combination of the 5th Food Safety and Zoonoses Symposium for Asia Pacific and DAAD Club Meeting for the Master of Veterinary Public health (MVPH) alumni. The event composed of 1 pre-conference course in the first week and 3 post-conference courses in the second week.
We had a total of 137 participants from 15 countries (Australia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, United States, and Viet Nam) join us. For the DAAD Alumni Meeting, with the support of travelling from DAAD, we had 30 alumni from 9 countries in Asia (Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Thailand and Viet Nam) join us in the 5th Food Safety and Zoonoses Symposium for Asia Pacific.
